Happiness. Harmony. Unity. That’s our wish for you at The House Collective this Mid-Autumn Festival. Four unique mooncake gift boxes capture the spirit and personalities of each of our Houses. Inspired by the Chinese tradition of curio boxes, each one is crafted with the utmost care and, just like our Houses, are full of surprises to discover.
Classics are classics for a reason, but we’re always looking to innovate. Alongside the timeless flavours of Maltitol White Lotus Seed Paste and Lava Custard, the eight mini mooncakes in The Opposite House, The Temple House and The Middle House mooncake box sets also come in the two inspired, creative flavours of Parma Ham & Egg Yolk and Tieguanyin Osmanthus Plum.
This year, we have partnered with design firm EDITECTURE to create mooncake box sets with a mind-set of sustainability. Elevating the eco-friendly concept, we sourced glass bottles and uniforms from the Houses to make into recycled material for each box’s “jade” Ping An Kou amulet. A modern take on a historical artefact, Ping An Kou are a tradition that families used to pass peace and safety down generations – in the same circular way that’s central to sustainable development.
