Our belief that creativity comes best from crossing cultures is the driving force behind our art programme Encounters Across Cultures. This extension of the programme told the story of honoured tradition, modernity, harmony and new possibilities as dancers engaged and connected through contrasting movements and spaces.

"There were these moments of ‘void' – moments when our brains were silenced and time ceased to exist. It was just our breath and the 37 trillion cells in each of our bodies. We were tapping into each other’s passion for this once-in-a-lifetime artistic encounter. We all felt it – the dancers, the director and the crew. It transcended age, cultures and differences."
